  • Dernière journée... Echange Maastricht. - Juin 2015

• Who won our logo competition ? - Mai 2015

We would like to thank all those who participated to this competition and are now pleased to announce you that the winner is.... Oups sorry ! How stupid of us… how can there be a competition when only one pupil participated ? Is there really no one else with any talent in our class ? Or are our artists too shy to participate ?
We must admit we were disappointed that there wasn’t any more participation to this logo competition in our class, especially since some of us have taken the art (...)

  • What do the 203 think about their project ? By Manon Salmon and Laura Le Merrer - Mai 2015

Today, we decided to share with you the interview of three pupils who have been working on the “Identity Project”.
    • What was the first thing you thought about when you heard the word « identity » ? Generally, they answered it made them think about their identity card or their personality.
    • Why do you think identity is a interesting topic ? This project affects and concerns everyone, especially teenagers who are searching for their identity and their personality. So this topic can help us to (...)

I am pleased to introduce you to the pupils who have been working on the setting of our play, that is to say Jeanne, Juliette, Marie and Ambre. These pupils chose to work on the setting although they had no particular experience in this field. They worked in groups of two and were in charge of finding and working on pictures which would suit the play our class has been working on. They presented their work to the class today, May (...)

  • Which one would you have chosen ? by Pauline and Clair (208) - Mai 2015

We started with the same base : 5 people in a castle during the 18th century and not any castle, a castle with a legend... As you probably read it in a previous article, our class was divided into 6 tables. Here are the ideas each table proposed :
Table 1 : Their story was about 4 characters, Amy, Grace, Greg and Chloe who were all visiting Dublin. They were from different social classes. They spent the night together in the Blarney House near Dublin. The first morning, Chloe went missing. (...)

  • What does the word identity mean ? by Mathilde Lasne - Mai 2015

First, as you must know, our show is about identity. But what is identity really ? That’s exactly the question we asked ourselves during the first part of the year, and we tried to define ours. According to the dictionnary, identity is all the traits permanent or not, that differenciates someone from someone else. It makes our peculiarity, our individuality. It can be our birth date, the color of our eyes, our size or the feelings we share, our tastes, or qualities... We worked on the topic (...)

  • Want To know how we work ? read this article ! - Avril 2015

We are working on an ambitious project. We wrote a short story about identity which will be part of a play. Other classes are also working on this project. The show will be composed of 6 scenes. The common point between all our stories is identity. We spend the first part of the year working about what it meant, to what extent it is important and how to create a story.
Since February, our class has been divided into three groups (see Chloé’s article for further information)
    The (...)

  • What we have been doing in english since the "college" voted for their favourite short story... by Chloé Klajny - Avril 2015

Once the pupils from Georges Pompidou voted for their favourite short story among the stories we had sent them, our class was divided into 3 groups.
The first group is composed of the actors, the costume designers and the playwrights. Their task is to rewrite the short story so that they can play it on stage. They work with Véronique, an actress, she is in charge of helping them.
The second group composed of the setting designers, the poster designers and the technical crew. They must (...)

  • "Liaison Collège-Lycée" : The role of our fellow "collège" pupils by Camille Cognet - Avril 2015

I interviewed a pupil from 3ème at Georges Pompidou. She explained to me how they worked on the project.
Our English class is composed of pupils from European English and other pupils. The non European pupils were put into groups of three and the Europeans worked alone.
The teacher gave each group a short story written by the high school students and asked us to write its summary. We made some posters and presented our work to the class. Then it was time to vote…
    The teacher wrote down (...)

  • What have we been doing in english ? by Claire Capone - Avril 2015

To achieve our "liaison collège-lycée" project, our first step consisted in getting familiar with the topic of identity. We studied several documents then we were asked to create a poster for an exhibition about Identity. It was about how we defined Identity, and who, to our minds, we are, what we like, our hobbies, our physical appearance, our inner-self... Once our posters were ready, our teacher hang them on the walls of the classroom. At the end, we commented all posters. Also, we learnt (...)

  • Liaison Collège-lycée - Interview du Lieutenant Launay - Avril 2015

Last week the chief of the fire brigade of Montfort l’Amaury, Lieutenant Launay, came to visit us to help us on our project. Indeed, our project deals with drinking and driving and we thought it would be interesting to work with the fire brigade in order to make our scene look more real. I took advantage of his coming to ask him a few questions…
Why did you accept to participate to our project ? Firefighters are often asked to participate to various forums and other events in schools. It is (...)
